Farming of aquatic organisms such as fish, shellfish, and aquatic plants, plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for seafood, enhancing food security, and generating livelihood opportunities.

Country report session is focusing on the aquaculture sector, a cornerstone of our nation’s food production and economic development.

In this session, we will explore a comprehensive analysis of the aquaculture industry in our country, shedding light on key aspects such as production trends, technological advancements, market dynamics, and sustainability practices. By examining the current state of aquaculture within African countries, we aim to provide valuable insights into the sector’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

Through this country report, we seek to not only showcase the achievements and potential of our aquaculture sector but also to address critical issues such as environmental sustainability, market competitiveness, and regulatory frameworks. By fostering a deeper understanding of the sector’s dynamics, we can pave the way for strategic interventions, policy recommendations, and collaborative efforts that will propel the aquaculture industry towards a more resilient and prosperous future
