We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to assume the lead role of our Aquaculture business unit in Canada.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Associate Director will play a critical role in leading the strategic, financial, analytical and operational aspects of marketing while leading the implementation of approved sales, marketing, technical services and learning innovation plans to achieve national sales and market share objectives. As an Associate Director, you will directly supervise the Eastern and Western Aquaculture Sales Team, Field Technical Services Veterinarians and a Marketing Associate. You will also be responsible for ensuring rich, productive and compliant cross-functional relationships with various internal departments and will be a member of our company’s Animal Health Canada leadership team.
Your future opportunities as Associate Director, Aquaculture Functional Unit:
Develop and execute annual financial plans, revenue targets and operating expenses, working collaboratively with key stakeholders and senior management.
Establish and maintain strong business relationships with key customers, customer groups and industry stakeholders to understand and communicate market trends and competitive activities to develop new business opportunities to increase product placement and volume. He or she may be required to manage some accounts directly, even at a global level.
Lead and manage direct team members in sales, marketing and field technical services, being a catalyst for growth and development, driving innovation and developing a high performing team.
Manage cross-functional initiatives including lifecycle management, research and development (R&D) and business development programs, professional development programs, and distributor and retail optimization initiatives.
Present forecasts, long-term operating plans, demand plans, digital marketing plans, and market accomplishments and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
You are the ideal candidate if:
You hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline; Master of Business Administration or other Master's degree preferred
You have experience in sales, marketing, major account management and/or business operations
You have a solid understanding of the animal health market and competitive environment; knowledge of aquaculture is highly desirable
You are dynamic and people-oriented, with expertise in setting clear direction, coaching and motivating direct and indirect reports, and developing high-performing teams.
You have proven experience in building credible relationships and influencing a broad range of stakeholders
You are an autonomous, results-oriented person with strong organizational skills
You have strong skills in financial planning, forecasting and budget management
You have sound judgment, strong skills in strategic analysis, decision-making and project management
You have experience in a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical industry or the healthcare sector
You are preferably bilingual (French, English) with strong oral and written communication skills (if the candidate is based in Quebec, French is required)
You are available to travel 60% within Canada and occasionally abroad/to the United States
