The Lead Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Project Engineering and Field Service teams to ensure efficient project delivery, optimal field operations, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage complex projects, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement within the teams. The Lead Operations Manager will be instrumental in bridging the gap between project planning and execution, ensuring that all operations align with company goals and client expectations.

What you'll be doing:
Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor the Project Engineering and Field Service teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of service.
Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and field service commitments.
Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications and budget constraints.
Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to address any issues or delays.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and timelines.
Field Service Management: Supervise the Field Service team to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer issues and maintenance requests. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field operations to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Track and analyse field service performance metrics, driving improvements based on data insights.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize project engineering and field service operations. Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation within the teams.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development through training and professional growth opportunities.

Requirements

The skills you need:
Proven experience in project engineering and field service management, preferably within a technical or industrial sector. Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and field service operations.
Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Project & Operations Management: Proficient in project management tools and software.
Experience with budget management, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiencies and implement process improvements.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess project and service performance metrics. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Excellent PC, MS Office skills, coupled with bespoke programming or design software experience.

Experience in aquaculture, agriculture, marine or offshore industries would be beneficial.
