In this position, you will join our growing Environment business in Singapore and across Asia-Pacific, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of all types of environmental projects in various industries.

  • Undertake technical work for Biodiversity Impact Assessment (BIA), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP), and other environmental studies.
  • Perform ecological field survey for a wide range of coastal (including marine habitat restoration marine environmental projects).
  • Act as a technical advisor/leader for marine consultancy projects for clients, focusing on impact assessments, baseline surveys, ecological enhancements, nature-based solutions, biodiversity strategies, etc.
  • Project management and coordination among clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes within budget and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.)
  • Prepare and submit technical and financial proposals; works collaboratively with a cross functional team.
  • Identify talents; provide technical guidance to project teams; demonstrate leadership and ensure quality & timely delivery of project outputs to client’s expectations.

Requirements

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marine biology, marine science, ecology, environmental science, or related disciple, with min. 10 years of relevant experience in the marine and coastal related projects. Prior experience in consultancy would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of the marine planning system, tropical coastal and marine ecosystem in particular mangroves, seagrass, corals and other coastal flora and fauna, biodiversity, conservation, biodiversity strategies, nature-based solutions, etc, with strong emphasis in Singapore. Experience in managing and leading marine related projects would be advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to work with external stakeholders (ie. clients, contractors, government agencies, NGOs etc)
  • Understanding of safety protocol for safety dive works with at least 100 scientific logged dives and proven skills and experience in conducting underwater marine habitat survey are preferred.
  • Experience in terrestrial ecosystem survey, water quality, and oceanographic instrumentation would be advantageous.
  • Have the fluency in English, experience in ecological field sampling method, scientific and technical writing, and statistical analysis of data using statistical program / tools. Knowledge in one or more Asian languages and proficiency in ArcGIS would be an added advantage.
