ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a dynamic and engaging researcher to guide and conduct research activities aimed at developing knowledge in grouper nutrition and hatchery technology. The project is funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and extends between JCU in Australia and the Research Institutes for Aquaculture in Vietnam

Requirements

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE • Possession or recent submission of a PhD qualification or equivalent in in fish nutrition, physiology or similar discipline. • Expertise in nutritional research and the application of aquatic animal physiology to nutrient requirements. • Experience with analytical technology of relevance to fish nutrition, including at least two of the following; histology, plasma biochemistry, photometric analysis, microplate readers, proximate analysis, bomb calorimetry, genomics, etc. • Evidence of research ability, including innovation, creativity and timely completion of tasks. • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work with a multicultural team and knowledge of the Vietnamese aquaculture research environment are desirable.
