Marine Biologist - Sampling Specialist

At SGS-Ecotecnos, Puerto Varas headquarters, we are looking to incorporate sampling specialists to our team to be part of our work team.We are looking for professionals who align with the needs of the organization and are motivated to face new challenges. Must have experience in marine monitoring, that is,

  • Sampling of water, sediment, subtidal and intertidal macrofauna, phytoplankton, zooplankton
  • Surveys and monitoring of subtidal and intertidal epibiota in coastal areas
  • Census of birds, mammals and marine reptiles, both on land and at sea
  • Correct delivery and reporting of data
  • It is ideal to know or have experience in physical oceanography work.
  • ADCP Installation and Removal
  • Installation and removal of 7 weather stations
  • Lagrangian current measurements
  • Installation and removal of tide gauge

    • Requirements

    Requirements
    • Responsible, proactive and rigorous professionals both in the field and in the delivery of information for the preparation of technical studies.
    • With experience in field activities
    • Have a driver's license (at least one year old) and, ideally, a diving license (not mandatory).
    • Training: Oceanographers, oceanic civil engineer or similar career
    • Available to travel
