Reporting to the Head Vet, the Sales and Marketing Associate will be responsible for growing and developing the North American Aquaculture healthcare business unit. In this role you assist the Head Vet in developing and managing AquaTactics’ customer base and fish health product range.

Key Role Specific Requirements

Sales:

  • Work with AquaTactics Veterinarians on providing clients with market leading aquaculture healthcare products and services
  • Key areas of focus include:
  • Autogenous vaccines and future licensed vaccines (manufacturing in San Angelo site)
  • Vaccination services and machines (through Aqualife machines)
  • Pharmaceutical products (Romet, Aquamycin, etc.)
  • Aquaculture consultation and veterinary services
  • Consult with clients to aid with their business and efficiency through improved aquaculture healthcare
  • Work with customer service and manufacturing to ensure client expectations on delivery of products and services
  • Meet AquaTactics yearly sales targets and budget

Marketing:

  • Attend conferences and events promoting AquaTactics
  • Research and develop new client leads in US and Canada
  • Assist with managing the client database (CRM system)
  • Work with Bimeda marketing on developing the AquaTactics website, printed marketing materials and other marketing documentation
  • Develop other marketing opportunities to promote AquaTactics

Other:

  • Work with R&D and Veterinarians to develop new products for AquaTactics clients
  • Keep informed of technology offerings and market trends
  • Collaborate between Bimeda's and AquaTactics’ R&D and Production facilities
  • General office work, including answering the phone and preparing reports for the Vet and General Manager
  • Assist with shipping products to customers from Kirkland production site
  • Assist with drafting invoices and other sales related documentation
  • Assist with customer service requests as necessary

Other Requirements

Essential:

  • 2+ years in a sales or marketing role
  • Science degree
  • Experience in the fish and/or animal health industry
  • Interest in aquaculture production and aquatic healthcare
  • Marketing experience (conference, technical, advertisement, online or social media)
  • Personable and able to interact and socialize amongst different cultures and levels in an organization
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Ability travel nationally up to 50% required
  • Strong verbal, presentation and writing skills in English required
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • USA driving license with clean driving record.

Desirable:

  • BS or MS in Aquatic Biology
  • Aquaculture operations knowledge and expertise
  • Experience in working with veterinary healthcare professionals
  • CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Experience in accounting/bookkeeping
