Job Details

We are hiring an Sole Farm Supervisor in Hafnir, Iceland. This position’s mission is ensure the production of marked KPIs within the company’s standards and to guarantee the commitment and safety of the team. He or she will have all production operator reporting directly to him or her (about 6 team members), and will report to Sole Production Supervisor.

Among the goals of this position are the following:

  • Achieve the monthly and annual production biological targets, based on a planification with the staff members and coordinated with upper management.
  • Guarantee fish welfare.
  • Guarantee a good work environment, based on safety, cooperation, trust and compromise.
  • Identify improvements with the aim of increase production capacity and efficiency

Regarding the job profile, the person who joins must have training in Aquaculture (technical) or University degree in Biology sciences: Biology, Veterinary, other similar. Training in leadership skills is highly valued.

Requirements

Regarding background and experience, 3 to 4-year experience as foreman or farm supervisor in an aquaculture farm, being responsible for the staff and production is a must. Experience with flat fish and recirculation circuits is not needed, but highly valued. It is also highly valued if the person has experience in land-based aquaculture and sole production.

As this is a position in Iceland, the person who joins must have well-developed language skills in English, Icelandic highly valued. Also,, be proactive and disciplined, open-minded individual and high organization skills.
