The Role:

We’re hiring a Logistics & Operations Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in the daily, hands-on work that keeps our fish moving efficiently from hatchery to customer. This is a physically active role focused on order fulfillment (picking, packing, and shipping) and operational support.

You will collaborate closely with the sales team and be cross-trained to assist in different areas of sales and logistics.  It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, takes pride in attention to detail, and wants to be part of a team ensuring our fish arrive healthy and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick, pack, and prepare fish orders for shipping with precision and care
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records
• Help troubleshoot logistical challenges to ensure smooth operations
• Communicate effectively with the sales team and picking/packing staff to coordinate fulfillment
• Learn QuickBooks, CRM, and shipping software
• Occasionally assist with customer inquiries, but the role is primarily operational

Requirements

Who You Are:

• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and comfortable with manual labor
• A team player who enjoys hands-on work
• Willing to learn new tools and processes to improve efficiency
• Passionate about marine life, aquaculture, or conservation

Preferred:

• Experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, or fulfillment
• Familiarity with marine ornamental fish or aquaculture
• Comfortable with QuickBooks, CRM systems, or shipping software
• Interest in process improvement and operational excellence
