We are seeking a highly motivated research fellow to join our dynamic team at the School of Materials and Science Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. We are looking to hire a leading scientist with the expertise in microbiology. Some experience in materials science and engineering would be ideal. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of materials science, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and sensing.
Key Responsibilities:
To isolate, identify and investigate how probiotics can impact growth rate and health of fish in the aquaculture industry.
Developing and formulating encapsulation systems for the delivery of probiotics will also be part of the job scope.
Conduct growth trials and challenge tests with research collaborators to understand the impact of functional fish feeds vs existing feeds.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
PhD qualification with relevant research experience in the stated fields.
The candidate will be hired in an aquaculture-related project that funded by a government agency.
The candidate will be working as a part of a research team to provide expertise knowledge and skills in microbiology and materials science to address to the hypothesis in the project.
