Innovasea Norway is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic Managing Director to oversee operations in Greece. As the driver of our success in Greece and the EMEA region, you will have the opportunity to create a positive impact on operations, sales, support, and company culture.


Reporting to the General Manager of Aquaculture Intelligence, the Managing Director in Greece has executive oversight of Innovasea’s physical operations in Greece. This is a multi-faceted role including: participating in the strategy development and execution for Innovasea, providing product requirements to product managers for aquaculture products, both hardware and software, and supporting business development efforts in the EMEA region including directly handling select key customers. This regional office has resources which are matrixed to other functions in Innovasea including software development and marketing resources. These staff administratively report to the Managing Director but their day-to-day direction is provided by off-site functional leadership. This is a senior level position responsible for representing all aquaculture business areas: Aquaculture Intelligence, Farm Management, Land-Based, and Open Ocean aquaculture products and solutions. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing business forecasts, supports business execution, and participating in the development of strategic plans. The position requires managing multiple concurrent tasks, analytical problem solving, and working in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

·       Responsibility for all aspects of the Greek operations including: business development, sales, field

service, and customer support

·       Supporting business development activities in Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions for all non-salmonid species

·       Coordinating with the aquaculture business development group to support achieving sales targets and business goals for the aquaculture business

·       Developing and executing strategies to increase market share in the sea bass/bream, tilapia, and shrimp aquaculture market segments including identifying unmet needs and required capabilities for success

·       Planning, together with select aquaculture managers, next-generation Innovasea products and capabilities for both ocean-based growout and land-based facilities

·       Providing executive oversight of Innovasea’s operations in Greece, including responsibility for P&L

·       Providing input to and reviewing proposed aquaculture product roadmaps and development plans with particular emphasis on realizing the full potential of Innovasea’s environmental monitoring and control products

·       Oversee recruitment and training of new employees

·       Fostering and maintaining select key customer relations directly

·       Maintaining close communication and coordination with all other areas of the company

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

·       10 years of relevant aquaculture and aquaculture systems experience including management of multiple teams/business areas including P&L responsibility

·       Experience in developing and introducing new products and services to market

·       Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a rapid growth environment

·       Familiarity with engineering processes and product development life cycles

·       Good understanding of project delivery and project management

·       Excellent communication skills including written reports, oral presentations, and presenting to senior executives. Ability to professionally engage with staff across all business functions, and potential customers

·       Ability to travel domestically and internationally

·       Candidates are required to have minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Agribusiness, or related field (MBA preferred)

·       Knowledge of aquaculture industry and practices preferred
