Job Details
The AGC is seeking to appoint two Professors in Environmental DNA Sciences to advance the application of eDNA technologies in marine, coastal, and terrestrial ecosystems across Morocco and Africa. Environmental DNA (eDNA) is revolutionizing biodiversity monitoring by providing detailed insights into organismal presence in various environments. These positions will contribute to pioneering the use of eDNA in fisheries stock assessments, aquaculture site evaluations, and terrestrial ecosystem monitoring, including forests, deserts, and mountains.
By integrating eDNA with existing survey methods, Morocco and its African partners can enhance data-driven management of natural resources. The affordability, compatibility, and growing global expertise in eDNA make it an essential tool for modernizing fisheries, animal and plant sciences across the continent.
