In this role you’ll make an impact by:
- Being responsible for the sales and profitability of our aquaculture biosolutions globally within our existing partnership with Merck MSD
- Explore business development opportunities in a variety of aquatic species including shrimp, salmon, and other relevant species
- Act as the key opinion leader within Novonesis representing the broader aquaculture industry and utilize this knowledge to work closely with R&D and regional commercial and TS teams to drive innovation pipeline development and sales
- Plan prioritizes and schedule technical support activities, work hand in hand with sales team to support the team to achieve budget by excellent technical service.
- Prepare robust 5 year plan process, budget cycle, and CAPEX plan in conjunction with the regions
- Develop business cases for portfolio-related investments and gain approval through the relevant governing bodies
- Coordinate the Pipeline and Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM) process, develop business cases and early-stage assessments for new initiatives
- Stay abreast of market trends, consumer behavior, and technological advancements. Incorporate innovative ideas and best practices into portfolio management to maintain a competitive edge
- Products positioning, value propositions, strategic pricing, profitability, segmentation, value funnel, product roadmaps, competitor and market analysis, and define and implement market research projects
- In conjunction with global and regional marketing teams, develop branding and brand plans for all strategic products in the portfolio, refreshing as needed
- Prepare global product launch kits and events and support product launches in key countries
Requirements
To succeed you must hold:
- Have a B.S in scientific or commercial field such as biochemistry, microbiology, chemistry, finance or other related sciences with 7-10 years of global experience in aquaculture or other animal production models
- M.B.A or PhD with 5 years of practical experience in aquaculture is preferred
- Ability to prioritize and distill complex tasks related to regional execution plans, regulatory, and technical in order to drive the business
- Be able to work well in a global context including amongst a wide diversity of cultures and languages.
- Technical aptitude of microbial and enzyme solutions
- Organize and analyze studies with contract research organizations in cooperation with Application Research and regional Technical Service teams
- Be willing and able to travel globally to trade shows, customer farms in major markets of China, SEA, India, LATAM, and EU
