As our new Senior Production Biologist, your main purpose is to provide high quality care of our yellowtail kingfish by providing the best possible circumstances within our RAS facility in Kats, Zeeland. You will be involved in system optimization and maintenance and specifically focus on quality control and assurance related to fish welfare.

Where will you work? You will be part of the Kingfish Zeeland Production Team. A team of young and ambitious people with a shared passion for growing fishin a sustainable waywith a continuous commitment for improvement. You will join a team of 30+ people with different backgrounds, nationalitiesand cultures. There’s a real work hard, play hard mentality. If you like cracking a joke here and there, you’ll fit right in.

Your tasks will be Among many other things your tasks will consist of:
 

  • QA Fish welfare
  • Manageproduction systems and maintenance of life support systems
  • Manage feeding according to rearing strategy
  • Assist with fish transfers and grading
  • Ensuring and optimizing biosecurity
  • You will be part of the shift system

Requirements

  • You have a BSc or MSc degree in the field of Aquaculture
  • You have a minimum of 3 years experience in land based aquaculture
  • You have a hands-on feel for technology and are a real problem solver
  • You’re physically fit and not afraid to get your hands dirty
  • You have a flexible attitude, working irregular times is ‘part of the deal’
  • You have a car and driving license.
  • You are eligble to work in The Netherlands, we prefer a candidate who lives already in the Netherlands
