Job Details

We are seeking a Hatchery Technician (Night Shift) to support our hatchery operations, focusing on larval rearing, live feed management, and system monitoring during night hours.

This role is critical to ensuring the continuity and stability of hatchery production cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor larval tanks and hatchery systems during night shifts
  • Perform feeding protocols (rotifers, Artemia, microdiets)
  • Maintain water quality (oxygen, temperature, salinity)
  • Operate and monitor life support systems (pumps, filtration, aeration)
  • Prepare and manage live feed cultures
  • Clean and disinfect tanks, equipment, and work areas
  • Record daily data (mortality, behavior, feeding response)
  • Identify and report abnormalities or risks immediately
  • Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity protocols

Requirement:

  • Diploma or degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Fisheries, or related field
  • Minimum 1–3 years experience in aquaculture or hatchery operations
  • Basic understanding of larval rearing and live feed production
  • Ability to work night shifts and in a team environment
  • Good observation skills and attention to detail
  • Basic English communication skills

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marine fish hatchery (advantage)
  • Knowledge of rotifer / Artemia culture
  • Experience with RAS or life support systems
  • Previous work in tropical aquaculture environments
