Job Details

We are building an Nordic-focused aquaculture AI model designed to provide accurate, practical, and locally relevant guidance for fish and shrimp farming. To ensure domain correctness and real-world applicability, we are hiring Aquaculture / Fisheries Interns to support model training, validation, and evaluation. This is a research-focused, unpaid internship emphasizing domain expertise rather than coding or AI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate AI-generated responses related to aquaculture and fisheries.
• Ensure recommendations align with Norwegian aquaculture practices and standards.
• Help create high-quality Q&A datasets (salmon, cold-water species, sea cages, RAS, feed, fish health, biosecurity).
• Identify incorrect, unsafe, or non-compliant aquaculture advice.
• Support preference ranking of AI responses (best vs. worst).
• Contribute domain insights for model evaluation, benchmarking, and regulatory alignment.

Requirements

Eligibility & Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BSc / MSc in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Marine Biology, or related life sciences.
• Familiarity with Norwegian or Nordic aquaculture practices (e.g., salmon farming, cold-water species, sea-based and land-based systems).
• Basic understanding of fish health, feed management, water quality, and sustainability.
• Ability to review technical content and provide clear, structured feedback in English.
• Strong attention to detail and interest in applied aquaculture research.
