Job Details
As an aquatic technician apprentice, we hope to develop you to use the knowledge and skills you have gained from school in our facilities.
You will help ensure that the salmon receive daily care through feeding and a good environment in the cages.
Job duties:
- Daily smoking of fish
- Contribute to good fish welfare
- Daily operation and maintenance of facilities
- Participate in work operations such as delousing, changing nets, sorting fish, etc.
Requirements
Desired qualifications:
- Applicants who are taking VG2 aquaculture and who show interest in the subject
- ROC/SRC course, Safety course IMO 50, Fish welfare course
- Crane and forklift courses
- Proficient in Norwegian, both spoken and written.
Desired personal qualities:
- Enjoy working outdoors in all kinds of weather
- Good collaboration skills
- Positive and flexible
- Committed and curious to learn more about aquaculture
- Loyal and committed to contributing to a good working environment with mutual respect and understanding
