Job Details
We’re looking for an experienced Aquaculture Sustainability Manager to lead strategic initiatives in shrimp farming and feed sustainability. This role will be part of our Environmental Centre of Excellence, working cross-functionally with sourcing, procurement, and external partners to deliver measurable environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Thai Union’s Responsible Aquaculture roadmap.
- Lead Aquaculture Improvement Projects (AIPs) and certification transitions (ASC, BAP).
- Scale the Shrimp Decarbonization Initiative: renewable energy, low-carbon feeds, traceability.
- Collaborate on responsible feed sourcing: marine ingredients, plant-based proteins, by-products.
- Design and implement antibiotic stewardship policies aligned with AMR standards.
- Engage with government, NGOs, certification bodies, and scientific experts.
- Support sustainability reporting (CDP, DJSI, SD reports) and customer presentations.
Requirements
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years in sustainability, aquaculture, or supply chain leadership.
- Deep knowledge of ASC/BAP certifications and environmental standards.
- Experience in supplier development and cross-functional collaboration.
- GHG emissions management and carbon reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with AMR frameworks and sustainable finance (e.g., Blue/Green Loans).
- Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to lead cross-functional teams and drive measurable impact.
- Comfortable working in intercultural environments.
