Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Analyze client requirements and collaborate with technical and sales teams to develop and submit comprehensive, competitive proposals for water treatment projects in aquaculture.
- Secure contracts by delivering persuasive proposals that highlight the advantages and suitability of the company’s water treatment solutions, equipment, and services.
- Coordinate closely with MK’s Product & Design, Technical, and Technical Sales Teams, as well as the Procurement, Cost Control, and Logistics departments to ensure cohesive and competitive offers.
- Prepare system flow diagrams, equipment/material lists, and energy schedules for bids, tenders, and offers.
- Ensure all tender documents meet technical and commercial requirements.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients on technical and commercial matters, facilitating engagement with internal technical experts when needed.
- Collaborate with the Project Management and After-Sales (Customer Support) Teams for preparing after-sales and variation order (VO) offers and managing commercial aspects post-order.
- Organize and store all client, proposal, and communication-related documentation in the cloud and CRM system.
- Coordinate with the Finance & Accounting Assistant to prepare accurate invoices and maintain proper financial records.
- Track client payments and resolve any related commercial issues.
- Maintain ongoing follow-up on active proposals and opportunities.
- Accurately utilize CRM tools to register all client requests, proposals, and orders.
- Work with the Technical Sales Team on costing and with the Planning Department to define accurate delivery timelines.
- Support the Technical Team Leader and Project Management Office during order management processes within the assigned region.
Requirements
Must Qualifications:
- Fluent in Norwegian
- Minimum 3 years of experience in water treatment, aquaculture systems, or a similar technical role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, or related fields), Aquaculture Science, or a related discipline.
Skills Needed:
- Aquaculture Expertise: In-depth knowledge of land-based aquaculture systems (especially RAS), including water quality management (e.g., DO, CO₂, TAN, TSS, nitrate).
- Water Treatment Equipment Knowledge: Understanding with filtration, biological treatment, membrane filtration, Ozone Generators and UV systems, ideally within aquaculture applications.
- Layout Interpretation: Ability to read and assess layout drawings to verify system fit, functionality, and performance within client facilities.
- Independent and Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong skills in identifying and resolving technical and commercial issues in dynamic project environments.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, both internally and with clients and contractors.
- Technical Documentation: Capable of preparing and reviewing technical documents, including flow diagrams, BOMs, BOQs, and full tender submissions.
- Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated experience in managing client interactions and delivering customized solutions based on their needs.
- On-Site Expertise: Ability to perform site inspections and accurately assess technical requirements and constraints.
- Mechanical/Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components in water treatment systems, including pumps, valves, and automation.
