Assistant Hatchery Manager / Research Technician

Job Details

This position will split time 50/50 between hatchery and R&D with research/trials taking place both within a laboratory and field setting. 

Requirements

• Must have bivalve hatchery experience
• Background in experimental design, data collection, and reporting
• Background in aquaculture, marine invertebrate husbandry (bivalve)
• Experience in a supervisor’s role at a minimum
• Willingness to learn a 2nd language and immerse in a 2nd culture
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to work on the ocean in adverse weather
• Safety oriented
• Certified open water diver (preferred)
• Wet lab experience (microbiology preferred)
• Experience with basic PVC plumbing (preferred)
• Willing to travel by boat between remote sites within Indonesia
