Alissa Fumagalli

Objective

I am a recent graduate in Wildlife and Human Dimensions, with a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences, with a strong interdisciplinary background combining wildlife conservation, human behavior, and science communication.

During my academic path, I developed a particular interest in the intersection between wildlife conservation and wildlife crime, which became the focus of my master's thesis. Through this work, I explored the role of social perceptions, communication strategies, and policy frameworks in addressing illegal wildlife trade.

Alongside my studies, I have gained experience in science communication and remote project work, including the development of communication campaigns. These experiences allowed me to translate scientific topics into accessible content for different audiences, while strengthening my ability to work independently and manage tasks in a structured and self-organised way.

I am comfortable working in remote and international environments, where I have learned the importance of autonomy, clear communication, and teamwork. I am proactive, motivated, and particularly interested in developing further skills in project management, sustainability, and interdisciplinary research.
