Dr. Mahmoud Haidar Biography

Dr. Mahmoud Haidar is a seasoned aquaculture expert with extensive experience in fish nutrition, currently serving as the Aquaculture Portfolio and Nutrition Manager at Skretting the Middle East and Africa region. Based in the Netherlands, Dr. Mahmoud plays a key role in driving innovative nutrition solutions and supporting sustainable aquaculture practices across a diverse and dynamic geographical landscape. He earned his PhD in Fish Nutrition from Wageningen University, one of the worlds leading institutions in agricultural and life sciences. His academic background laid a strong foundation for a career focused on product development, raw materials evaluation, and practical applications of nutrition science in aquaculture systems. Dr. Mahmoud has collaborated closely with fish and shrimp farmers across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. His work emphasizes performance optimization, nutritional health, and the development of region-specific feeding strategies to enhance productivity and sustainability. Recognized for his technical expertise and insight, Dr. Mahmoud continues to contribute to the advancement of aquaculture through research-driven innovation and industry engagement.
