The literacy of women fish seller is very low in Bihar, India. Generally they have just taken elementary education, even some are completely illiterate. But in the fish market, their participation is well notified everywhere. Thus, this study has been conducted in the local fish market of Patna (Bihar), India to know the women status of knowledge regarding selling and purchasing of fish. It was found that the women fish sellers were confidently negotiating during purchasing and selling of fish. They had done efficiently the calculation of the amount even in the fraction of weight of fish. During selling of fish, women were much determined than the men seller. They were also using modern tools to weigh the fish. They could read the digital tools easily. It was also noticed that the range of age group of these women fish sellers were 35-65 yrs. So they were mostly well experienced and they know how to handle the stockists and consumers. Some places the men were associated but negotiation of price was done by women.
